Description
The Warrior table lamp is sculpted with a different character on each side of the lamp. One face is of a more curvilinear and organic form, and the other is partly influenced by African masks, sculptures and their abstract, dramatic effects on the simplified human figure. African art had a profound influence on the development of European abstract art. This is a piece of modern artwork with African characteristics, imaginatively sculpted and finished with textured earthy surface. Shown here in natural white.
The original sculpture was handcrafted in clay plaster in our studio in London. The piece is then cast in jesmonite, a sustainable water-based material, more durable than plaster and kind to the environment.
Available as a stand alone piece of sculpture or as a table lamp.
